Hey everyone,
Greetings from Northern Sardinia! We’ve dropped anchor in port for a few days to ride out a strong maestrale wind — wind that whistles through the rigging, bends the sails, and makes the sea dance with whitecaps. Rather than fighting it, we’ve decided to embrace it: staying put in harbour, resting, and exploring the island from the land side.
It’s been a luxury holiday of a different tempo. Slower mornings, long coffees, and spontaneous strolls along cliffs and coastal roads. Gentle afternoons watching the sea, sometimes hiding in shaded cafés, other times letting the wind carry us.
We’re based around Baia Sardinia, one of the gems of Costa Smeralda. The place is perfect for those who love high-end comfort, luxury resorts, beautiful beaches, and a relaxed yet elegant night-scene.bajahotels.it+3selectitaly.com+37pines-sardinia.com+3

-
Fine dining overlooking the sea, restaurants tucked into coves or perched with panoramas, sometimes with sunset colors that seem too perfect to be real.
Even with the maestrale’s howl, there’s a magic to being moored in port. The sea feels alive in a way it never does when you’re rushing. Every gust paints a different light on the water. We’ve been taking the chance to really see the place — not just as sailors, but as travellers.
Thanks for following us.
