It was a beautiful winter day, with the sun shining brightly and a crispness in the air, as we set off from Desenzano del Garda for an unforgettable journey around the lake. Each stop revealed a unique story, a piece of history, and breathtaking views that will stay with us forever.

Our first stop was Torri del Benaco, a charming village with a rich medieval atmosphere. The Scaliger Castle, standing proudly by the water, offers not only historical significance but also stunning panoramic views of the lake. Walking through the narrow streets of the old town, we were greeted by colorful houses, quaint shops, and the relaxed rhythm of lakeside life.

From there, we continued to Castelletto di Brenzone, a peaceful haven surrounded by olive groves and the sparkling waters of the lake. This small village seemed frozen in time, perfect for anyone seeking tranquility and connection with nature.

Next, we visited Cassone, a picturesque gem famous for the Aril River, the shortest river in the world, stretching only 175 meters from its spring to the lake. Watching the river’s flow, we couldn’t help but marvel at the charm of this tiny village, where nature and history coexist in perfect harmony.

Malcesine was our next stop, a town straight out of a fairy tale. Dominated by its iconic Scaliger Castle perched on a rocky cliff, Malcesine offers unparalleled views of the lake and Monte Baldo. We wandered through its cobbled streets, discovering hidden courtyards and soaking in the magic of this enchanting destination.

Finally, we arrived at Riva del Garda, and it felt like stepping into another world. Nestled at the northern tip of the lake, Riva’s history reflects its ties to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and its architecture still carries that influence. The imposing mountains surrounding the town give it a dramatic, almost alpine feel, blending the Mediterranean charm of Lake Garda with a hint of Central Europe. Walking along the elegant lakeside promenade, we felt transported through time and cultures.

This journey around Lake Garda was a celebration of contrasts and beauty, where every stop brought a new perspective and unforgettable memories.

Once we got home, inspired by the day’s adventures and breathtaking views, we decided to continue our “tour” in a rather unexpected way… this time, under the sheets. 😉 Exploring unusual positions made for an equally intriguing and adventurous journey.

Stay tuned! 🔥
